Adventure Island is a side-scrolling action game that was developed by Hudson Soft and released in 1988 in North America on the NES. The original Adventure Island game was an adaptation of the arcade version of Wonder Boy by Sega. Subsequent titles in the Adventure Island series have no connection to the Wonder Boy. In the game, you play as Master Higgins who is on a quest to rescue the princess from an evil witch doctor. The game is comprised of 32 stages which are divided into 8 areas. Each area has a boss battle on it’s fourth stage and after defeating the eighth boss, you will save Princess Tina.
