Blackthorne – Sega 32X Review
One of the better games on Sega’s much-maligned 32-bit add-on.

Episode Notes:

1. Captured on real hardware and using Kega Fusion.

2. This was also on the GBA with a save feature.

3. I always wished that Blizzard made a part 2 in the same mold as Diablo. I think it could have been a killer adventure series.

4. I would be very much behind a remake of this.

5. I do often wonder what this would have looked like on the Genesis. The Lost Vikings turned out fine, so you never know.

6. There are areas that you can get stuck in so that you can’t proceed. Some traps live up to their names quite well.

7. If you disconnect the RGB cable from the Genesis while playing this, you lose the entire image when using a Frameister/Retrotink. I tried a few different connections and finally was able to keep the image using one of those cheap HDMI adapters. The vertical hold was off but it appeared the 32X was handling nearly all of the graphics, otherwise.

8. This was also known as Blackhawk in some regions.
