Final Fantasy VI Fan Theory: Is Gogo the Siegfried Impersonator? – Video Game Mysteries – Whang!
Final Fantasy VI is hands down my favorite Final Fantasy game. A big part of what makes that game so good is how side quests and unsolved mysteries flesh the world out.

To me, one of the most interesting and mysterious side stories in Final Fantasy VI is the character Siegfried. His appearances are very confusing and inconsistent. At some point, we find out that he has an impersonator, but this story thread never really finds any resolution.

Recently, I learned of a fan theory that the story of Siegfried’s impersonator was supposed to be a part of Gogo’s storyline. Although we probably will never know the truth about why Siegfried is such a confusing character, I think his connection to Gogo is an extremely plausible explanation.
