Episode Notes:

1. Captured on real hardware.

2. There is a hidden menu that appears to allow link cable play. I have never tried it but it’s there for the adventurous.

3. This game is crazy long and hard. I captured gameplay for 5 hours and came nowhere near completing it.

4. Every room in every area serves as a piece of the puzzle. Look around until you have found something before moving on.

5. Travel back and fourth between hubs doesn’t happen just once or twice. There are doors that won’t be opened until you have seen the same area a dozen times.

6. Save your mana based weapons for the stronger enemies. Use your base attacks to drop the scrubs. The late game sees precious little resources in some areas, and you’ll wish you had better ways to defend yourself.

7. There is a full screen option that minimizes the HUD a bit. I meant to show it to you here.

8. I highly recommend playing it on the lowest difficulty until you become familiar with the way it plays. On the default setting, it is a rather brutal lesson in patience.

9. A few folks have mentioned that there was a Heretic II. There was, but it is not part of the Serpent Rider Trilogy. It branched off and followed the hero from Heretic and did not continue the main story of the original 3.
