LONG-LOST ORIGINAL ‘KILLER INSTINCT’ ARTIST’S CONCEPT SKETCHES!
This is a quick video showing some really old scribbles that I have not seen myself since I drew them when I worked as an artist at Rare Ltd. They date back to the 1990’s and although they’re not great, it’s fun to look through them and remember scribbling these ideas down, which eventually became really popular video game characters and still are today. Also, it shows how your artwork can improve over the years if you keep drawing. As a 3D artist, and having the majority of my early work being pixel based, my drawing skills (particularly human anatomy) were not so great in the 90s because I spent most of my time actually building the characters as 3D models, but in recent years I’ve spent a lot more time drawing using digital packages like Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop, and by doing that my drawing skills have improved dramatically. Morale of the story – Keep drawing, you’ll get there in the end!
