MiSTer 240p 120Hz on a VGA CRT Monitor
July 20, 2022 MiSTer 240p 120Hz on a VGA CRT Monitor
For years, I’ve seen people discuss running emulators in a “240p, 120Hz” mode, for the purpose of getting a 240p-like look on a VGA monitor. I’ve heard people both praise the authentic look, as well as claim it caused motion blur effects. So, as usual, I wanted to see for myself what it looked like! I think at the moment, 480p + scanlines is the better option, but this was a fun experiment. More details and the ini files I used in the stream are available in the main post:
