Super Mario Bros. 3 has been released in multiple Nintendo’s consoles as well via Virtual Console. However, this versions has been excluded for this video as they are emulation of ports already present in this video.
There are some regional differences between Japanese and International Versions in NES ports. The most important one is that in Japanese version if you get hit by an enemy while you’re powered up, Mario gets straight to its small size, making the game more difficult. There are some level layout changes, such as in World 1 fortress, and King’s Chamber have significant aesthetic differences, among other changes.
