Super Mario Bros 35th Anniversary Direct

Today, Nintendo published their Direct that is devoted to the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary!

Included in the video was a good look at a brand new Game and Watch device that has been updated with a full color LCD screen and numerous game modes.

They also included footage from an upcoming Switch game called “Super Mario Bros. 35”. This game takes the original Super Mario Bros and brings it to a battle royal style of game where you are competing against 34 other players at the same time.

Ever want to drive Mario karts around your house? Well, now is your chance (well later this year) with Mario Kart Live Home Circuit. This appears to pair your Nintendo Switch with a AR enabled remote control car. Setup a course in your house and you can race right there, including multiplayer!

Back in the day, Nintendo was the first to bring out a visually upgraded remaster set of games when they hit us with the Super Mario All-Stars compilation on the Super Nintendo. Available today, you can play this classic remaster in the SNES app for free!

And the final bit of exciting news was the announcement of updated versions of N64 and GameCube Super Mario games!
