If you ask around the #retrogaming community as to what the worst game of all time is, invariably, there is one game that constantly comes up.  You may think something like ET for the Atari 2600 or any of the Legend of Zelda games on the CDi.  But, you’d be wrong (though those games suck too).  The game that you are looking for is Superman for the Nintendo 64.

Superman for the N64Superman for the N64 was developed and published by Titus Interactive and released in North America on May 29, 1999.  It is supposed to take place in a 3D recreation of Metropolis and consists of a couple types of game play, flying levels and mazes.  Superman must save Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen from Lex Luthor.

What is bad about the game?  Nearly everything.  The graphics are bland and uninspired and marred by too much fog.  The controls are sluggish and unresponsive.  The game play is basic and poorly implemented.  The game is plagued with poor AI and has numerous glitches and collision problems.

If you want to see what this game is like and have a good laugh, check out Episode 51 of the Angry Video Game Nerd.  In this episode, the Nerd takes on this game and you can see really quickly why so many people put this game on their list of terrible games.
